Dani Alves just cannot catch a break with his situation worsening each day.

Dani Alves finds himself in a worse situation each passing day as he awaits sentencing in a high-profile rape case trial.

Having spent over 365 days in provisional detention at Brians II prison since January 20, 2023, Alves faces increasing isolation and challenges on multiple fronts.

In a recent development, Dani Alves, 40, has been left without the support of his image rights company, adding to his woes amidst the ongoing legal battle.

These companies specialize in protecting the reputation of well-known figures like Dani Alves when they face problems or controversies.

They mostly employ experts in communication and crisis management.

During their time with Alves, they also handled the messages he communicated from prison.

Spanish outlet, El Confidential, reports that the company, which had been tasked with managing Alves' public image, ceased its services, leaving the footballer increasingly alone in the face of adversity.

This setback compounds the challenges Alves has faced since last October when the company stopped working with him, coinciding with the termination of his relationship with Cristóbal Martell who formerly headed his defense team.

As Alves awaits the verdict of the trial, his situation grows increasingly precarious. Throughout the media trial, which spanned three days, Alves emotionally testified in the Barcelona court, expressing the toll the accusations have taken on his life.

The former Barcelona, PSG, Juventus and Pumas defender spoke of losing everything, from his contracts to his marriage with Joana Sanz.

With the weight of legal proceedings and public scrutiny bearing down on him, the withdrawal of support from his image rights company only complicates his situation, having previously seen his appeals to be released on bail denied on several occasions.

The 40-year-old former Barcelona defender was arrested for an alleged sexual assault.

Alves was taken into custody after an allegation was made against him on December 30, 2022.

The former Brazil international was at the Mossos d’Esquadra de Les Corts police station in Barcelona  to testify against the allegations shortly after.

He was then taken to the Ciutat de la Justicia, where he attended a court hearing.

Alves was sent to jail by the court without bail, while an investigation continued on the case.

Throughout last year, Alves had on several occasions, denied the accusations levelled against him while being incarcerated in Brians II prison.

With the investigation over, Alves' trial remains ongoing as he looks to avoid a potential jail term of up to 9 years.
