The youngster has put pen to paper on a four-year contract to represent the club in the Serie A until the summer of 2028.

Ankeye, who has already been unveiled, will sport jersey number 30 at the club following Napoli icon Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, who have starred in Italy's topflight in recent seasons. The highly rated teenager will be hopeful of emulating their success.

Osimhen has become an icon in Naples after a historic 2022/2023 season with his club Napoli in the Serie A.

The 25-year-old led Napoli to its first Serie A title in 33 years, becoming the first African to be named striker of the year in the league's 125-year history.

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen shows love to AFCON visiting Napoli fans.

On the other, compatriot, Lookman, Lookman, is currently Atalanta's top scorer with seven goals despite being in Cote d'Ivoire for the AFCON 2023 with Osimhen.

Born in Port Harcourt, the striker has been in good form for his former club, making 10 appearances and 3 goals in the Europa League and 2 appearances in the Champions League qualifiers.
