Ssekiganda, who plays for Uganda Premier League record holders SC Villa, needed just ten minutes into his debut to put the Cranes ahead.

With five minutes to full-time, Kitata, who has been lethal for BUL FC in the league this season, extended Uganda's advantage further.

It was a fully local-based Cranes team that glided past in Put's third game in charge.

The tactician has now won two and lost one game since taking over from Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, who was sacked after a failed Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign.

On the evening, Put handed multiple debuts to the likes of Kitata, Ssekiganda, Ramz Kawooya, Patrick Kakande and left-back Nicholas Mwere.

Uganda will not have a competitive engagement until June 5 when they will host Botswana in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
