Godwin Odibo is eager and hungry to get more goals for his new club Remo Stars after an impressive debut in the NPFL.
Odibo was on target as the Sky Blues defeated Shooting Stars 2-0 in their regional derby at the Remo Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday.
The young forward scored a wonderful second and decisive goal to inspire the Blues to a dominant win over their neighbours from Ibadan in the rescheduled week three encounter.
Odibo's goal was in his for Remo Stars in what was his debut for the Blues in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Odibo delighted with his debut
Odibo joined Remo Stars from National League side, Ikorodu City, ahead of the 2023 NPFL season.
Following his debut and goal against Shooting Stars, the talented forward has now reacted to his performance.
Odibo is happy with his debut and is now hungry to score more goals for his Ikenne side.
"Absolutely delighted to mark my NPFL debut with a goal," Odibo posted on his official social media account.
"Grateful for the support and eager to do more," the Remo Star added.
Remo remain perfect
Following the win over Shooting, Remo Stars' start to the abridged season remains perfect.
The Sky Blues have now won their opening three matches and are the only club on the football league yet to concede a goal.
Remo have now scored five goals and conceded none in their opening three games of the season.
In terms of what that means on the table, the Blues are now top of the Group A table with maximum points, the same as newly promoted Bendel Insurance. However, they lead the group thanks to their superior goal difference.
Up Next
It is a top of the table clash next for Odibo and Remo Stars as the make the trip to Benin to face Insurance on Sunday.
Odibo will be hoping to add to his tally as the Sky Blues look to maintain their perfect start against their hosts, Insurance, who are also unbeaten.
