KCCA FC's right-back Denis Iguma faces suspension and fine following his remarks over alleged match-fixing in the Uganda Premier League.

Iguma, in a tweet, stated that he 'feels great playing for the best football club in Uganda with no bribery or betting'.

"Feel great to play for the best team in Uganda—a strong team with great players. No bribing. No betting but real football," Iguma tweeted.

The defender made the statements in the aftermath of the KCCA – Vipers match that ended in a heated manner over alleged poor officiation.

Iguma joins his boss, interim coach Jackson Mayanja, and forward Simon Kankonge facing FUFA investigations over misconduct.

"The proceedings were opened drawing attention to Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions rules and regulations. As a result, Iguma must submit a written response to FUFA via email by Tuesday, 9th May 2023, 5:00 pm."
