His return to Maroons FC was commemorated with a goalless draw against Vipers SC in a pre-season friendly, setting the stage for the season ahead.
Senfuma believes Rukundo's arrival will significantly enhance the team's experience and leadership.
"We have brought in a few new players, and they've all been excellent additions," Senfuma shared with Pulse Sports.

Rukundo began his career in Uganda with Maroons FC and KCCA FC before moving on to play in Rwanda with APR in 2017.
This marks Denis Rukundo's second stint with Maroons, having previously played for the club in 2015 alongside goalkeepers Hannington Ssebalunyo, Derrick Emukule, and Jackson Nunda.
Their collective presence is expected to bolster Maroons FC's performance in the upcoming season.
Maroons FC will kick off their league campaign against Wakiso Giants on Sunday, and Senfuma affirmed that his team is fully prepared. Their goal is to match or surpass last season's performance.

The highly rated right back, who has prominently featured in both leagues for different clubs, highlights that returning to the Ugandan top flight is a challenge he would grab with both hands.
"We have had good preparation, and our aim is to maintain or improve upon our finish from last season. As for Sunday's match, Wakiso Giants are a strong side with excellent ball possession, but we aim to secure a victory or, at the very least, earn a point," he added.
