Super Eagles hopeful Cyriel Dessers sent a message to Eric Chelle ahead of the final Super Eagles squad announcement with a Europa League masterclass
Nigerian forward Cyriel Dessers was in the mood as he registered a goal and an assist to help Rangers claim a crucial 3-1 win away to Jose Morinho's Fenerbahce.
The Super Eagles hopeful, who could have had a hat-trick but for VAR intervention, opened the scoring and provided an assist for the eventual winner as the Gers shocked Fenerbahce on home soil to all but book a place in the Europa League quarterfinal.
How it happened
Rangers and interim boss Barry Ferguson were off to the perfect astart against Fenerbahce when Dessers pounced on a defensive mix-up to put them ahead inside six minutes.

Fenerbahçe fought back, with Youssef En-Nesyri and Edin Dzeko both going close before Alexander Djiku levelled with a brilliant finish.
Just before halftime, Vaclav Cerny restored Rangers' lead with a slick one-two and a composed finish, marking his fifth goal in the competition.
Dessers thought he had doubled his tally in the second half, but VAR cruelly ruled out two strikes for marginal offsides.
Despite the frustrations, Rangers sealed the win in style, with Cerny latching onto Nico Raskin’s precise pass to slot home his second of the night.
Dessers was the standout performer, contributing a goal and an assist, proving too much for Fenerbahcee to handle.
The victory keeps the Scottish side’s European dreams alive, while for Mourinho and his Fenerbahce side, it is most likely the end of their Europa League campaign, barring a miracle in Scotland.
