Gaddafi FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa has lauded his side’s determination following their 1-0 win over Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Friday afternoon at the Kavumba recreation centre.
Second-half substitute and junior team graduate Chrispus Asiki scored the only goal of the game in the 58th minute to condemn Asaph Mwebaze’s side to a fourth straight defeat of the season.
Bbosa says the players were determined to earn maximum points in a challenging game which also was the seventh win of the campaign overall.
“It was a much-needed win, that’s for sure, but the boys showed determination because Bright Stars also wanted the win so bad,” Bosswa told Pulse Sports.
“It being our second away win of the campaign, it boosts our confidence, especially in this final run-in of the season,” he added.
The win took the Jinja-based side to sixth position on 28 points after 20 games.

UPL Bbosa targets BUL’s scalp as Gaddafi search formula to win away matches
Gaddafi has camped in the 10th position with 23 points but have been let down by their away form which has seen them lose all their last five league games.
Next up for Bbosa’s charges is a home game against Wakiso Giants FC on 18th April.
Gaddafi FC made the headlines before the start of the season when they roped in Bbosa and declared their league title intentions.
However, the team has struggled with consistency amidst financial challenges on top of losing forward Charles Musiige, who joined Ethiopian side Dire Dawa after Gaddafi went to Ethiopia for a preseason tournament.
