Over a month after his departure from Vipers SC, defender Dissan Galiwango is set to seal a deal to re-join seven-time Uganda Premier League champions, Express FC.
He’s only making a return to the club he left in 2020, having played and captained them for two years.
Express and Galiwango have for the past weeks been locked in talks which were positive, and he's set to pen a two-year contract.
The reports were further stamped by the player himself on his twitter account with a; “Hello Express,” tweet, clad in their jersey.
Galiwango left the Red Eagles under controversial circumstances in July 2020 and signed a three-year contract at Vipers.
The left-back-cum-winger struggled to impress at Kitende in the preceding season, managing only 406 minutes in the league.
He featured full-time in only three games against UPDF, Wakiso Giants and Maroons in the first leg.
Galiwango was also sparingly used from the bench, coming as a sub in only six games, as the team preferred Isa Mubiru in his place.
Overall for the Venoms in the league, he featured in 51 games across three campaigns, a disappointing return.
Galiwango is a two-time StarTimes Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup winner with Vipers.
