How Drake saved Venezia FC from going broke
According to the aforementioned outlet, Brad Katsuyama, co-owner of Venezia FC, reached out to Drake’s Chief Brand Officer, Matte Babel, to detail the dire situation of the Italian football club who nearly missed out of the 2023/24 Serie A season.
“Venezia has to raise €10 million in a couple of weeks, and then at least €30 million in a few months, or the club will go bankrupt,” Babel recounted.
With the clock ticking, Drake and his team swiftly organized and executed a fundraising campaign that successfully met the financial target, averting the club's imminent collapse.
