Denis Onyango is set to receive his 10th league medal, making him the most decorated player in the PSL era.
In an interview with the Daily Monitor, the shot-stopper highlighted how special it is to win a 10th league title in the PSL.
“But of the titles with Mamelodi Sundowns, this 10th one is significant. It can be described as a decade trophy. La Decima (The 10th – in Spanish),” Onyango noted.
“I mean, I am the most decorated player in the PSL, and being a goalkeeper also makes it incredibly interesting because it’s always difficult for goalkeepers to win a lot of titles.”

The Brazilians not only ended the game with nine players after Neo Maema and Marcelo Allende were sent off in either half but also had forward Peter Shalulile’s goal correctly disallowed by VAR in the first half against the defending champions.

Onyango has also won the CAF Champions League. CAF Super Cup, three Nedbank Cup titles, one MTN 8 and two Telkom Cup titles, on top of being named the goalkeeper of the season twice.
