The Belgian winger who joined Los Blancos from Chelsea for £150million in 2019 is set for another spell on the sidelines.
Eden Hazard has picked up another injury as his woes continue to pile up at Real Madrid.
The 32-year-old Belgian forward has reportedly suffered a knock to his left knee, marking his 18th setback at the club since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019.
Hazard has only played three league games this season, and the former Chelsea hero who cost the Spanish champions a whooping £150 million is set for a spell on the sidelines once again.
In all competitions this campaign, the former Belgium skipper has only played 296 minutes across seven appearances, with only three starts: against Mallorca, Celtic in the Champions League and fourth-tier Cacereno in the Copa del Rey.
Hazard was considered one of the best players in the world when he left Chelsea in 2019.
However, he has seen his switch to Spain fail, having been constantly plagued by niggling injuries, and netting only seven goals in all competitions in his three-and-a-half seasons in the Spanish capital.
Hazard will now miss Real Madrid's clash against Mallorca on Sunday, February 5, in LaLiga.
Eden Hazard’s future at Real Madrid
The 32-year-old is believed to be discussing his future at Real Madrid this month after failing to secure a mid-season move away in the January transfer window.
He reportedly held talks with Al-Nassr head coach Rudi Garcia about potentially joining former Madrid star and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
