The Nigeria Super Eagles superstar has been in fine form for Leicester City in the Championship this season.

The Foxes travel to Loftus Road to take on Queens Park Rangers, QRP, in the Championship but will be without midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi.

Ahead of the game on Saturday, Leicester's manager, Enzo Maresca confirmed that the 26-year-old will not be a part of the travelling squad for the tie.

Maresca stated this during his pre-match press conference where he confirmed that the rejuvenated midfielder is the one doubt for the road trip.

“The only one is Wilf,” the 43-year-old said according to the club website. “That looks a bit more than tiredness as we thought at the beginning, so he probably has to stay out some days or weeks.”

The Nigerian midfielder was also a notable absentee from the Leicester team that defeated Sunderland at home in their last match.

He missed the game against the Black Cats in mid-week due to a muscular problem. But according to his manager, the central midfield star is just tired as his injury isn’t an important one.

“It’s not an important problem, just a muscular problem that we thought was not important,” he added. “It’s not big, but I think at least for some days or weeks he going to be out.”

Maresca switched Ndidi to a more attacking role in his attacking 4-3-3 which has unlocked the Nigerian midfielder.

Ndidi has contributed four goals (1 goal and three assists) in 12 matches this season for the Foxes, who currently sit at the top of the Championship standing and look set for a swift promotion back to the Premier League.
