Walusimbi played violently towards Wakiso Giants FC's Andrew Kigozi with an open boot last week, and while the officials missed the incident, it was captured on video.

URA FC captain Enock Walusimbi has been found guilty of unsportsmanlike play by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel and subsequently banned for two matches.

The Uganda Cranes defender was asked to respond to the charges on Wednesday and has been found guilty by the Disciplinary Panel.

"The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has suspended URA FC player

Enock Walusimbi for two matches in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League following his violent play on an opponent in the game against Wakiso Giants FC on 21st October 2023 in Lugazi," FUFA revealed in a Friday statement.

"The violent play put the game of football into disrepute, and the conduct contravened the FUFA Competitions rules and regulations," it added.

However, the statement hasn't clarified on whether the ban applies to URA Friday game against Maroons FC at the Luzira Prison Grounds.

Should he feature against Maroons, Walusimbi will have to sit out their ties against current runners-up BUL FC and leaders Kitara FC.

Since joining the team towards the start of the season, Walusimbi has played in each of URA's four games, captaining the Tax Collectors to two wins and just as many stalemates.
