22-year-old Ademola Adebambo completed a move to the eight-time Nigerian champions in September.
Enyimba's new centre-forward Ademola Adebambo has highlighted the likes of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, Gremio's Uruguayan number 9 Luis Suarez and retired Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic, as players he has similar attributes with.
The 22-year-old centre forward who can also play as a winger completed a move to the People's Elephants four months before the start of the 2023 NPFL season from Kwara United and after a loan spell at NNL club Ottasalo.
Enyimba on Saturday, defeated Nasarawa United 2-1 in their first game of the season, a game Adebambo missed due to fitness issues.
Adebambo compares himself to Suarez, Mandzukic, Benzema
Speaking during a virtual interactive session on Twitter 'NPFL With Mike: Players Edition', Adebambo revealed that due to his large stature, he prefers to study and draw inspiration from strikers that are built like him.
"I like to look up to players like Luis Suarez, [Mario] Mandzukic and Karim Benzema," the Enyimba man said, "because of the way they play with their stature, and because I have this big body like them and move the way they move."
"Suarez particularly because of his trickery, and he's unpredictable. I call these players business players because they play business football.
"Ideologically, these are players I can sit and watch. Sometimes when I'm alone, I try to watch Mandzukic and how he moves with his body."
Adebambo praises Lokosa's abilities
During the session, the former Kwara United forward revealed that he also had players he admire in the Nigerian top flight, listing Junior Lokosa, the top scorer of the 2018 NPFL season as one of them.
"In the NPFL, I would pick players like Sikiru Alimi and Junior Losoka," Adembambo said during NPFL With Mike: Players Edition.
"One thing with Lokosa is that he's always in the box, and back then, I had this mentality that he was always a lazy player. But he's not, he doesn't do so much outside the box, but he's always running towards the box where he's so deadly, always looking for a good position.
"As a striker, Isiaka Olawale and Paschal Eze are the defenders I never want to play against," he added.
Adebambo will look to rejoin his teammates when they return to Aba to take on 2021 Nigerian champions Akwa United in the second week of the NPFL.
