Emilio Nsue was the hero of the day for the home side following his 85th-minute winner in Malabo.

It was a solid defensive display from the home side who kept the Carthage Eagles at bay for 90 minutes en route the all-important win.

After a goalless 80 minutes of play, the home side broke the deadlock in the final five minutes to take all three points on offer.

It was the third successive win in the qualifiers for Equatorial Guinea and it was enough to see them book a second appearance in AFCON in a row.
