And, while he is yet to make his debut at Kitende, he is already a popular figure and owes it to Murushid Juuko and Martin Kizza, two players with whom he shared a dressing room at Express.

Star-marksman Erick Kenzo Kambale joined six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC a month back and has instantly gelled well with the team.

The former Express FC striker completed the swoop on transfer deadline day, joining the Venoms to bolster their forward line.

And, while he is yet to make his debut at Kitende, he is already a popular figure and owes it to Murushid Juuko and Martin Kizza, two players with whom he shared a dressing room at Express.

"Kizza and Juuko have really helped me settle in quickly, and they have helped me understand a lot because, obviously, we were at Express together," Kambale was quoted by the club media.

Kambale also stressed his readiness to fight for a spot in the first team, well aware of the stiff competition at the club.

"It won't be easy to break into this team, but I'm working hard towards my goal," he said before adding:

"And I want to be a positive influence at the Club, in training and in the dressing room and contribute in whichever way I can."

The forward line is highly stacked with the likes of Kizza, Yunus Sentamu, Mohamed Salem Ekbad, Milton Karisa, Fumador Asiwome and many more all in the ranks.

Meanwhile, Kambale is set for his Vipers' debut as they welcome UPL record holders SC Villa at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende on Friday.
