Kapaito has scored 12 goals and registered 8 assists in his first season with the Brewers.

Tusker striker Erick Kapaito has reflected positively on his inaugural season with the club, having accumulated 20 goal contributions ahead of their final match against Kakamega Homeboyz.

Despite a slow start, Kapaito found his stride, scoring his first two goals for Tusker last December and maintaining his form throughout the season.

Kapaito, who has netted 12 goals and provided eight assists, has seamlessly adapted to a new playing style with a team in transition.

Tusker has been rebuilding after narrowly missing out on a league and cup double last week. Speaking after their 2-1 victory over Posta Rangers in Thika, the former Kariobangi Sharks forward reflected on his performance amidst a season of highs and lows.

“It has been good. I know I can certainly do much better and can score more goals, but the contribution has been great,” Kapaito shared with the club’s media channels.

“We have been performing well but did not win the league. We finished second which is not bad but we can do better. I, however, pushed as well as I could.”

With Tusker already securing a second-place finish, they are set to face Kakamega Homeboyz in Ruaraka for their last game of the season, marking their first match there since last November.

Kapaito has urged his teammates to remain focused and aim for a strong finish.

“We have to push well so we can finish on a high. They also want to win. I know it is not going to be easy but it is possible,” Kapaito concluded.
