Erik ten Hag resurfaced five days after his contract was terminated by Manchester United.

Former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been spotted in public for the first time since he was sacked from his role as Red Devils boss.

Ten Hag's sack

Last season, the Dutch tactician led the Red Devils to their worst finish in Premier League history—8th. However, he managed to stave off the sack by beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Despite saving his job, the writing was clear on the wall, the rope was short for Ten Hag, and this season, he failed to hit the ground running, with the club languishing in 14th on the log.

He was sacked a few days ago, and the club announced Ruud Van Nistelrooy as interim manager. Subsequently, Porto Boss Ruben Amorim was named as the permanent manager, but Van Nistelrooy will remain in charge until the November international break.

Ten Hag resurfaces

The former Ultrech boss bowed his head in disguise when his car drove out of Carrington during his last day as Manchester United boss.

He has not been sighted in public until recently when he was in the stands to watch Heracles Almelo beat NAC Breda 2-0 thanks to goals from Brain De Keersmaecker in the Eredivisie, according to the Daily Mail.

The 54-year-old is back home in the Netherlands; however, it is unlikely he will take a job in the Dutch top flight, despite his stocks tanking following his Manchester United stint. He is yet to be linked with a return to coaching, but the former Ajax boss remains one of the top coaches in the game and will be expected to take a top job in the near future.
