Fuellkrug apologise to fan
Niclas Fuellkrug's misdirected shot fractured a fan's left hand, and the striker sent the German an apology and signed shirt.
According to Eurofoot on X, “A Germany fan named Kai broke his hand after accidentally being hit by a Füellkrug shot during the warm-up for the Scotland game.
“He sadly couldn't watch the match as he needed medical attention. Füellkrug was sorry and will send an apology package with a shirt.”
Kai Flathmann watched the game on his phone while lying in a hospital bed, receiving treatment for his broken hand.
Before his team destroyed Scotland 5-1, Kai Flathmann was sitting to the side of the goal when Fuellkrug hit him with a shot that missed the mark.
Despite paying €195 (£165) for a front-row seat at the Allianz Arena on Friday, he was confined to his hospital bed.
Flathmann told German newspaper Bild: “I sang along to the anthem on the stretcher! I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry! I unfortunately had to give up my dream of [watching] the opening game! But when do you ever get your hand broken by Fuellkrug?”
Flathmann posted a photo of himself in the hospital on social media with the caption, "I have no words, crazy things."
