Portugal kept up their unbeaten start to Euro 2024 qualifying, defeating Bosnia & Herzegovina 3-0 at the Estádio da Luz.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes scored twice and set up Bernardo Silva for a fine finish as Portugal defeated Bosnia & Herzegovina 3-0 to go top of Group J.
How it happened
The early exchanges were cagey as Portugal found it hard to create openings thanks to Bosnia's tenacity and dogged defending.
Roberto Martinez's men finally found the breakthrough however as Bernardo Silva broke the Bosnian rearguard with a glorious finish to send his side in ahead at the break.
The second half was more straightforward for Portugal as they took control of the game.
With less than 15 minutes remaining Fernandes rose highest to bury an inch-perfect Rúben Neves cross into the top corner and the Manchester United man capped off a brilliant performance with a terrific volley in added time for his second of the night, as the hosts maintained control of the qualifying group.
