Real Madrid's new signing Kylian Mbappe has compared the EURO to the World Cup ahead of the 2024 edition.

Fresh off his move to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe has shared his thoughts on the challenges of international football, claiming the European Championship poses a greater tactical test than the World Cup.

Mbappe's comments come just days after Real Madrid announced his signing, finally bringing an end to the long-running transfer saga surrounding the 25-year-old.

Mbappe on EURO and World Cup

Spanish giants Real had been chasing the France international for several seasons and have now secured his services on a five-year contract.

In a recent interview, the French superstar weighed on the EURO and World Cup debate.

"For me, the EURO is more complicated than the World Cup,” he stated according to a post on X. 

“Even though there is much more pressure at the World Cup, here all the teams know each other, we play against each other all the time. Tactically it's very similar football."

The move to the Bernabeu represents a new chapter for Mbappe, who had been heavily linked with a switch to Real Madrid for the past couple of years. 

He came close to joining the 15-time Champions League winners two seasons ago but ultimately opted to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, with his future settled, Mbappe will turn his attention to representing France and helping the former World Champions at the EURO 2024.
