Boniface speaks on Super Eagles head coach issue
Boniface has stated that he is not concerned about the Super Eagles appointing a home base or foreign base coach.
During an interview with Football Fans Tribe, Boniface said, “The truth is even if we bring Guardiola, Nigerians will still have something to say, but I’m a type of person that doesn’t care about what people think, because we’re they’re not here with the team.
“Our job is to give it all on the pitch, and that’s it. It’s life. People will always criticize. So, no matter which coach you bring, people always have something to say.”
Boniface insisted that when it comes to coach criticism, whether it be local or not, he doesn't agree with that school of thought.
The forward has played under different head coaches, since he made his debut for Nigeria under Jose Peseiro.
He would play under Augustine Eguavoen, another local coach, if he were to represent Nigeria in the forthcoming AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
