Everton have been told that their problems are beyond results, having failed to win any of the last six matches in the Premier League after the humiliation from Newcastle United at home.

Nigeria Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi and his Everton teammates have been advised to go spiritual after another embarrassing outing in the Premier League.

The advice came from a Sky Sports reporter at Goodison Park to witness Everton's third defeat in five matches in the Premier League.

Newcastle United produced a comprehensive and dominant display to register sweet revenge following a 4-1 win on Thursday night.

Everton told to go spiritual

Despite a positive start to the game at Goodison Park on the night, Sean Dyche’s men were no match for Champions League-chasing Newcastle.

Callum Wilson netted a brace with Joelinton and Jacob Murphy the other scorers on the night for the away side while Dwight McNeil got the consolation for the hosts.

Everton have lost three of the last five matches in the Premier League.

Following the defeat which left the Toffees still in the bottom three and in danger of relegation, they have been advised to go spiritual as their problem has gone beyond just results.

These came from Sky Sports reporter Ben Grounds who was on the ground to watch the latest disaster from the Toffees.

Newcastle United are looking good for Champions League football.

“Goodison needs to get spiritual now,” Grounds stated during the game against Newcastle United. “They need something to turn for them,” he added.

Everton must listen to Grounds

Iwobi’s boss and his teammates will have to listen to Grounds if they are to avoid dropping to the English second division for the first time in over 70 years.

After the defeat against the rampant Magpies, the Toffees have every reason to worry about their run-in.

Dyche and his men led by his Nigerian playmaker, Iwobi, have their work cut out and in serious trouble heading into the five games of the season.

With just two points from safety, the Toffees have a relegation battle against Leicester City next before facing Brighton and Hove Albion and defending champions Manchester City in their next two games.

It’s a Tof one for Everton, go spiritual now!
