Ozil is reportedly being considered for a board position as the general manager of the Turkish club, according to the German publication Bild.
Joachim Low, the former manager of Germany, is apparently being lined up by the association to succeed Kuntz, and Ozil might be chosen to lead the Euros and World Cup preparations.

After leaving Arsenal to join Fenerbahce in 2020, the midfielder most recently played for Istanbul Basaksehir, although injuries prevented him from regaining the brilliant form of his early career.
In 2022, he joined Basaksehir, however, he only played seven times for the team before retiring.
