In England, the former Premier League star enjoyed a successful spell at Chelsea, winning titles but has now found a different hobby following his retirement.

A former Chelsea star has been filmed climbing to the top of the highest mountain in Germany.

Former German superstar Andre Schurrle seems to have picked up a new hobby after he recorded himself at the top of the highest mountain, the Zugspitze.

The mountain has a peak below 3000 metres above sea level which makes it a difficult one to climb.

Schurrle posted the video himself through his official Instagram page, with a quick statement.

“2 am, silence, completely exhausted, still 5 hours to the summit, cold, million questions in my head,” he posted alongside the video.
