Super Eagles-eligible Olise to move
The 22-year-old proved to be an inspiration for his Eagles after he scored four goals and assisted another in his last four Premier League matches.
Olise has been on the radar of some of England’s biggest teams, with Chelsea leading the race for his signature.
The talented youngster, who is also wanted by the Nigerian Super Eagles remained committed to Palace after putting pen to paper on a new four-year deal.
But after his latest run of form, a former Chelsea defender, Jason Cundy, believes that Olise is too good to remain at Selhurst Park.
According to him, the Anglo-Nigerian winger is a top-draw talent who can now walk into a Premier League team now, including champions, Manchester City.
“I want to talk about Michael Olise at Crystal Palace,” Cundy told the talkSport Breakfast.
“That kid, for me, I think he can go into any team in the Premier League right now, including Manchester City.
“Palace fans won’t thank me for saying this but this kid is going to the very top,” he added. “He is too good for Palace.”
Olise came close to joining Chelsea last summer but made a remarkable turnaround to stay at Palace. Cundy added that it was a good move by all concerned.
“Chelsea, apparently, nearly signed him in the summer, didn’t happen, (they) signed Cole Palmer instead -that’s been a pretty good move for him, by the way,” he concluded.
Olise has scored five goals and assisted one in nine matches for Crystal Palace this season.
