Mulee insists Namwamba’s previous incumbents did not do a good job in charge of the Sports Ministry, adding that he has done a tremendous job in his one year in charge.
Former Harambee Stars head coach Jacob Ghost Mulee has heaped praise on Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, saying he has done a lot for the sporting and arts sector since taking charge.
Mulee insists Namwamba’s predecessors did not do a good job of growing the sectors, believing that the Talanta Hela initiative will give Kenya a chance to identify new talents that could go a long way in helping the country grow as a sporting and arts country.
“Since the CS took charge of the job - he has been charge for just over a year - but the work he has done is much better than that done by his previous incumbents,” Mulee said.

FKFPL Cheche highlights what Kenyan football can borrow from rugby and Tanzania to attract more fans
David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng’ has stressed on the importance of “hyping up the game” in order to attract local fans to come and help grow Kenyan football.
“I think the previous incumbents were joking but now, we have a CS that is doing a very good job in efforts to try and identify talents.
“Talent is money and if you look, anyone who earns off expressing his talent earns well so I am happy the CS came up with the name Talanta Hela because talent pays.”
Mulee believes the recently concluded Talanta Hela U19 tournament that saw talents plucked from all counties across the country will help streamline youth football across the country which will help both Harambee Stars and Junior Stars down the line.

The outspoken head coach has however stressed the need to better football educational programmes across the country in order to help equip players with proper footballing knowledge.
“But football education is also important so we have to instill confidence in them because there are some teams that were well beaten, with one losing by 24 goals and another by 11.
