Former Super Falcons midfielder Maureen Mmadu is still fighting for justice after a harrowing ordeal in October.
Mmadu, a respected figure in Nigerian football, is facing an uphill battle against the Anambra State Police Command, which has yet to investigate her claims of defamation, unlawful arrest, and brutality.
According to the Punch newspaper, she led a peaceful protest at the Anambra State Police Command headquarters in Awka.

These baseless allegations ignited a chain of events that saw officers from the Anti-cult unit storm Mmadu's academy, the Maureen Mmadu Kiddies Academy, without a warrant.
The officers' actions were far from professional, Mmadu recounted the harrowing experience.

Meanwhile, Onyekwunife accused Mmadu of "armed gangsterism, child trafficking, and threats to life," according to reports.
"They handcuffed me, accusing me of being a kidnapper and a cultist. They severely injured my players, who were hospitalised. The police promised to repair the destroyed phones and cover medical bills but have done nothing," Mmadu further explained.
