Firstly, grateful for being here (in Seville camp for the Olympics), especially super excited to be a part of such a big tournament.'

The Super Falcons have commenced their quest for a maiden gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, with their first training session in Spain last week.

Nigeria, who are making their first Olympic appearance since 2008, have been drawn into a daunting group alongside Brazil, Spain and Japan.

The Falcons are aiming to go all the way and clinch the gold medal, having never progressed beyond the group stage in their previous two Olympic appearances in 2000 and 2008.

With the talented Echegini leading the line, Nigeria will be hoping to make history in Paris and bring home the country's first-ever Olympic gold medal in women's football.
