KCCA have sent an official bid to Kitara for striker Denis Omedi, Pulse Sport can reliably confirm.

Negotiations between the Kasasiro Boys and the Royals have immediately commenced to ensure that Omedi switches from Hoima to Lugogo.

Should the two clubs reach an agreement, the 30-year-old will be announced as new KCCA player ahead of the transfer window deadline set for Thursday midnight.

His two-year contract signed at the start of the 2023/24 season with the Hoima-based outfit is left with one year.

Omedi is arguably the best striker in Uganda currently and Abdallah Mubiru is looking forward to adding him to his team as they chase silverware that has eluded them for five years now.

He finished as the runners up in the chase for the Uganda Premier League golden boot last season with 15 goals only two behind eventual top scorer Muhammad Shaban who left KCCA for Libyan side Al Hilal Benghazi in the ongoing transfer window.

Omedi carried his scoring boots to the continental level scoring twice as Kitara lost 6-4 to Shaban’s Al Hilal Benghazi on aggregate in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

Today he is a mainstay in the Uganda Cranes squad and netted one of the goals as Paul Joseph Put’s charges drew 2-2 with Bafana Bafana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in South Africa.
