After Germany’s shocking loss to Japan, the head coach Hansi Flick was fired in a five-star hotel in Wolfsburg, despite his promise to continue.

After a successful tenure as Bayern Munich's manager, there had been high expectations for Flick to thrive in the role.

However, after Saturday night's humbling 4-1 loss, which served as the last straw in Flick's catastrophic reign, he was eventually let off from his position.

According to reports a vivid explanation of how it all went down and how the Germany head coach Hansi Flick was sacked by the DFB has been revealed.

Details of Hansi Flick sacking

Flick and his assistant coach Marcus Sorg left the German camp at 5:23 p.m. in three DFB shuttle buses in preparation for Tuesday's friendly against France.

According to reports from Daily Mail, Voller tried to prevent Flick from being fired right away, presenting a "strong argument" against firing a manager.

After the team's 4-1 loss to Japan, Voller called the performance a "disgrace" and told the players they "can't s*** their pants now,".

He also made it known that negotiations on the future of the head coach Flick will begin on Sunday.

After the defeat by Japan, he said, as reported by Daily Mail, “We're all still in shock. Losing 4-1 is a disgrace.

“We all should take a good look at ourselves and then see what happens next. We would all do well to sleep on it tonight.

“I just spoke to Hansi - he's deeply affected. We'll talk tomorrow about why that happened. That was an embarrassment.”

Voller words not enough to convince German officials

After failing to persuade other German officials to keep Flick, he stressed the significance of hiring a coach who can return them to the "level they anticipate."

He said, "I will therefore temporarily look after the national team for the one game against France with Hannes Wolf by my side.

“The most urgent task will then be to hire a national coach who will quickly realign our team and prepare it for the big European Championship tournament next year, from which we all hope that there will be positive impulses for German football and also for our entire country.

“A national coach who will then, in the long term, raise the national team back to the level that we know and expect from it.”

According to the German daily BILD, national team coach Rudi Voller and German Football Association (DFB) president Bernd Neuendorf informed Flick of his departure.

The players were then called to the five-star Ritz Carlton hotel in Wolfsburg, where he said his goodbyes before informing them of his dismissal.

According to reports, the ideal candidate for Germany is thought to be Jurgen Klopp, but the Liverpool manager is now unavailable.
