The aftermath of KCCA FC interim head coach Jackson Mayanja's behaviour in the post-match press conference, has spilt over, with football fans and sports journalists calling Mayanja to order.

The 53-year-old blamed centre referee Ssali Mahoodi for poor officiation, but when quizzed further to point out the incidents he termed poor officiation, Mayanja resorted to unwarranted responses before he walked out of the press room.

It's against that background that fans and sports journalists have to call the KCCA FC legend back to order, telling him to act professionally.

Elvis Senono Sports Journalist NTV/Daily Monitor

"Jackson Mayaja, you're to blame for your team's loss. But don't hide behind the match officials. The referees didn't substitute your best attacker on the day."

Joel Muyita Sports Journalist FUFA Media

"Jackson Mayanja is unprofessional, and this is an understatement. His comments in the post-match press conference were uncalled for. KCCA FC, you need to tame the man's ego.

Darren Kyeyune Sports Journalist Daily Monitor

"The evening ended rather ugly for KCCA FC at Kitende. From a 1-0 loss to Vipers to Tshisungu Kankonde being sent off for his blow to referee Mashood Ssali after full-time,"

"Then their coach Jackson Mayanja's baseless comments about the referee's officiation and failed to back them up with facts."

Kaddu Martin Sports Journalist Next Media.

"Jackson Mayanja should transition from a player to a coach. He was such a great player but has yet to be a great coach at any moment. Instead, he wants to blame the referee for his own mistakes. Boss, sit, settle and work."
