Besigye is a long-time admirer of Onduparaka having confessed his love for the club in their debut season in the Uganda Premier League back in 2016.

Former leader of the Forum for Democratic Change Rt.Col Dr. Kizza Besigye has drummed support for Onduparaka ahead of their betPawa Big League game against Kataka on Sunday at the Greenlight Stadium in Arua.

Besigye is a long-time admirer of Onduparaka having confessed his love for the club in their debut season in the Uganda Premier League back in 2016.

The politician has not only stopped at admiring the club but also supported the club financially, including subscribing to this season’s platinum membership.

Besigye urged the club’s fans and supporters to come back together and push the team back to the Uganda Premier League.

“This is a time when all Onduparaka supporters must do more to get our team back to its strength and better! I am on board for the effort! We go!!” he said.

Kataka upbeat

Their Sunday opponent Kataka FC is confident of picking points, especially after their 2-1 win over Blacks Power in Mbale last season.

“We’ve been preparing for the league as a whole and not just specific matches, so we know how to approach each game as it comes without altering our style,” Godfrey ‘Toldo’ Awachango told Pulse Sports in a previous interview.

Police leads the table with nine points after beating Ndejje University 3-1 on Thursday in the first match of day three.
