Fifa have ordered Cardiff to complete the payments owed to Nantes for Emiliano Sala following the striker's death in a plane crash after sealing a transfer to the Welsh side.
In January 2019, Sala was travelling by air from France when his plane crashed into the English Channel, just two days after Cardiff announced the signing of the 28-year-old Argentine forward from Nantes.
According to The Guardian, Nantes' claim to receive the first 6m of the £15m transfer fee was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) last year after Cardiff failed in an appeal to overturn a transfer embargo placed on the club.
After months of dialogue, Cardiff announced on Friday they had now been ordered by Fifa to pay the final two instalments.
