Vipers SC were at their ruthless best as they comfortably dispatched off Soltilo Bright Stars FC 4-0 in the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Saturday at the St Mary's Stadium Kitende.
Bright Anukani's brace and a goal each for Yunus and Karim Watambala were enough to give the Venoms a semi-final advantage.
Following a brilliant start from Vipers, they broke the deadlock in the 10th minute through Anukani's goal from the spot, after Milton Karisa had been felled in the box.
Seven minutes later, the hosts doubled their lead through a calm finish from Sentamu following superb Karisa cross.
To cap off the first half dominance, Anukani completed his brace in style after an exquisite shot from the center for the pitch, to add to hia team's tally.
Karim Watambala should have made it 4-0 two minutes after restart, but his close range shot was denied by goalkeeper Hassan Matovu.
In the 78th minute, Watambala should have extended Vipers' lead but Matovu yet again denied him with an excellent save.
With the clock ticking, Watambala finally got on the score-sheet with a penalty after substitute Cromwel Rwothomio had been fouled in the box.
The two sides will now meet in a week's time for the second leg, to see who'll meet one of Police FC or Adjumani TC.
Police holds a slim 1-0 advantage in the tie.
