“I would say we have planned the whole season and I can confirm both players are not for sale, end of story. The President said it before, I am confirming it tonight, Amrabat and Gonzalez are not for sale," Barone said emphatically.

Amrabat and Gonzalez are two of Fiorentina's best players

The build-up to the match against Roma was dominated by transfer speculation, both around Viola winger Gonzalez and Moroccan star Amrabat which has now been addressed.

“Gonzalez is recovering, he’s training well, scored in the last match, we are happy with his progress and are happy with the whole team,” he said, offering an update on the player's fitness.

There were reports that Gonzalez had agreed personal terms with Leicester City while Amrabat has been strongly linked with a move to Atletico Madrid but the club is determined to keep both key players.
