However, Lumala was an unused substitute as his mates put up a fight to master their first win nine matches.

Before today, they had lost seven times, including six in succession, with the other being a draw in the last eight games.

It was the first time Lumala failed to get minutes at Slaven Belupo since joining them in February.

He had featured in the past two games, garnering 45 minutes in each as they lost 1-0 to Osijek and Varazdin on March 29 and April  6, respectively.

Lumala is yet to net his maiden goal nor record an assist having played two games with the Croats.

Slaven Belupo now sit eighth on the 10-team log with 30 points in as many games. In their subsequent fixture in the HNL, they take on Hajduk Split on April 20.
