UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE First win for Express under Mbowa, third successive defeat for URA and Obua

The Red Eagles under Mbowa, had been beaten by each of SC Villa (1- 0), Wakiso Giants (3-2) and Maroons FC (2-0) previously, but managed to bounce back with victory.

On their fourth try, head coach Baker Mbowa and his Express FC team finally won a Uganda Premier League match, taming the David Obua-coached URA FC.

Star forward Isaac Wagoina scored the sole goal of the evening at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles under Mbowa, had been beaten by each of SC Villa (1- 0), Wakiso Giants (3-2) and Maroons FC (2-0) previously, but managed to bounce back with victory.

Victory for Mukwano Gwabangi also meant three defeats in succession for URA, and four games without a win.

URA have also failed to score a goal in the last three matches, after 2-0 and 3-0 defeats to Vipers SC and Kitara FC, respectively.

The result has had Express move to eighth on the log with 32 points in 23 matches.

They will return to league action away to BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on  April 20.

On the other hand,  URA, who are ninth on the 16-team log with 31 points, will play their subsequent game against NEC FC on April 16.
