St. Lawrence University lead the Uganda Beach Soccer League table with 25 points, Mutoola follows with 21 and Jinja Lions with 19.
Mutoola beat Kampala Junior Team 5-3 to keep their second place intact as the Uganda Beach Soccer League hit the halfway mark on Sunday in Njeru.
Ashraf Mugumira grabbed a hattrick for the Kampala side but a brace each by Farooq Kiberu and Paul Nsenge ensured Mutoola maintained their second place with 21 points, four behind St. Lawrence University at the summit.
Jinja Lions, who had been scheduled to play two games, played only one as they narrowly edged MS Sand Lions 8-7.
Leading scorer Nicholas Mwere fired five to take his goals count to 24, eight better than last year’s most valuable player Baker Lukooya.
David Muwanguzi converted in his own net as Shaka Ssozi and Arafat Wandera complemented the Mwere’s efforts.
The Jinja side retains their third spot with 19 points with a game to play.
Lions' other against Makerere University Business School was not played after the latter failed to show up.
Wolves were also a no-show forcing the other games involving them to be cancelled.
