KCB share spoils with Posta Rangers in dull encounter.
FKF Cup finalists KCB FC were unable to get the better of their struggling counterparts Posta Rangers as both sides were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw in an FKF Premier League clash that took place at the Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Both sides struggled to create any real chances in the other side’s half and had to share the point in the end. One would have been forgiven for finding more entertainment in a library given the lack of entertainment.
Posta remains eighth on 47 points from the draw, while KCB are 11th on 43 points. The Mailmen have found the back of the net 28 times and conceded 28, while KCB have a goal difference of minus two, having conceded 30 goals.

Ex-Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr shares how Harambee Stars can get the best out of Michael Olunga
The heroic former Gor Mahia coach has explained how Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat can maximize Michael Olunga's talent for the remaining games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Both sides created a fair share of opportunities in the opening half, but they were not worth writing home about.
KCB would come out the better of the two sides in the second stanza and created a good opportunity in the 51st minute when Henry Onyango attempted a shot from outside the box which gave Posta captain Kevin Okumu something genuine to deal with.
For KCB, Shadrack Simiyu was the player most likely to cause havoc to Posta, as he tried to stretch their defence with his pace down the left flank. For Posta, it was Caleb Olilo doing the same for his side, giving Kevin Okumu a hard time.

Michael Olunga reveals his toughest chapter since moving to Europe eight years ago
The Harambee Stars captain has described a difficult season with minimal playtime and management issues as the worst memory of his career.
Both sides then struggled to create inroads in the other side’s halves just like they did in the first half. Although Posta got a freekick and a good chance to break the deadlock, the Bankers dealt with it easily.
Bernard Mwalala's charges created a good opportunity to take the lead on the counterattack, but substitute Philemon Nyakwaka dallied on the ball too long, which allowed Ivan Ochieng to win the ball back to safety.
There was a moment of tension in the 70th minute when Posta’s Patrick Otieno accidentally stepped on Henry Onyango while both players contested for the areal ball, which prompted the referee into being forced to calm things down between both sides.

Moments later, Posta’s playmaker Vincent Wasambo had to be stretched off the pitch after suffering an injury, forcing coach Bernard Kawinzi into bringing on Brian Musa as a replacement.
Despite all these changes, no side could manage to find the target, and in the end, they would have to share the spoils.
