Ingwe and Tore Bobe fans have expressed their disappointment at their teams’ poor start and will not take kindly another poor display on Saturday
AFC Leopards and Shabana FC are among teams under intense pressure to deliver a first win of the season following their poor show in their opening two matches of the season.
Leopards face Muhoroni Youth on Saturday and head into the match on just one point from a possible six after a goalless draw with FC Talanta before losing 1-0 to KCB.
What is more worrying for Tom Juma’s side is that they have not scored a goal which left fans fuming after the KCB defeat given Ingwe have signed 12 new players and there was hope that they would begin the season on a high.
Another poor display against Muhoroni therefore will not be taken kindly by the Ingwe faithful hence the need to get on the winning side.
Shabana, meanwhile, host Kenya Police at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Saturday with both sides looking for their first win of the season after securing just one point a piece from their opening two games.
Shabana lost their opening match 1-0 to Muranga Seal, succumbing to a late goal, before drawing 1-1 with FC Talanta and coach Sammy Okoth is under pressure to deliver all three points on Saturday.
Police are also under the scrutiny after starting the season with a goalless draw against Kariobangi Sharks before Posta Rangers thumped them 3-0 and after their big spending, coach Francis Baraza cannot afford another bad result.
It therefore sets up a high stakes match for both teams as none of their fans will take lightly anything other than three points.
Elsewhere, Kakamega Homeboyz will host Tusker FC looking for their first win after losing their opener 1-0 to Murang’a Seal while Robert Matano’s men will seek to maintain their unbeaten start after collecting four points from a possible six.
Nzoia Sugar, who also have four points, take on Bidco United, who have recorded back-to-back draws, as Bandari, who have won one and lost another, host Ulinzi Stars who lost both of their games.
