While Nigeria's U20 side may have endured a disappointing group stage exit at the African Games in Ghana, rising star Chibueze Izuogu certainly did his blossoming reputation no harm with a string of eye-catching displays.
The 18-year-old Enyimba forward marked his arrival on the continental stage by contributing an impressive three goals for Ladan Bosso's Flying Eagles over just three matches in the tournament.

Izuogu Proud of Ghana Outings
Among those was a stunning long-range free-kick in Nigeria's 3-2 defeat to Senegal that exhibited Izuogu's vast potential and technical quality from set-pieces.
Despite the frustration of an early elimination, the teenage starlet cut a proud figure as he took to social media to celebrate his performances by sharing a personal highlights reel.
"3 games. 2assist 1goal ⚽️🙏🙏," Izuogu captioned his Instagram post, showcasing his goal contributions.
As well as the sensational free-kick against Senegal, the wonderkid also bagged an assist in the game and another in the 2-1 victory over South Sudan.
With such impactful showings at just 18 years old, Izuogu underlined his status as one of Nigerian football's hottest prospects that fans will be desperate to see more of very soon.
While the Flying Eagles may have underwhelmed collectively in Ghana, Izuogu's confident displays encouraged that the future could be very bright for the nation's young talents.
Enyimba will be the first to reap the benefits of having such a prodigiously gifted youngster in their ranks when league action resumes.
