The Brewers face Bernard Mwalala's Ulinzi Stars in the semi final of the Mozzart Bet Cup on Saturday noon.

Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano has revealed how his charges can beat Bernard Mwalala’s Ulinzi Stars in the Mozzart Bet Cup semi final at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday noon.

Matano will be leading his charges against his former employers and has admitted it will be “very tough” against The Soldiers.

“I expect a tough match because Ulinzi are a very solid team,” he said, “ they have good players who have experience and are very aggressive,” he added.

The former AFC Leopards tactician chose not to reveal his tactical blueprint for the match, but has insisted what he has rolled up his sleeve will help his charges win the contest.

“Our strategy is very simple but I will keep my cards close to my chest and will not reveal it. However, our aim is to win it. We cannot handle two matches at a time. We take it a match at a time. We are thinking about the Mozzart Bet Cup now and not the league.”

“I will prepare my players both mentally and physically for the task at hand. We just need to find consistency.”

The Brewers’ winger Mike Oduor shared his manager’s sentiments on taking everything a game at a time.

“We are not putting too much pressure on ourselves. We just want to play our game. We need to enjoy ourselves but in a positive way.

“This is a knock out competition and not like the league where if you draw a game, you can wait for the next.Only a win will help us progress to the next level.”

Quizzed about what winning the cup would mean for him, he said, “ It will mean a lot because I have not won any cup before in my career. It would be an important milestone if I ended the season with some silverware! If possible, both!”

The match will take place at the Nyayo National Stadium from 12 noon, serving as the curtain raiser for the Mulembe Derby at the same venue three hours later.
