The former Arsenal skipper is considering a return after a sincere chat with his country's president.

Former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in line for a possible return to international football.

This much Pulse Sports can report following a sincere request from his country’s President Ali Bongo Ondimba.

He retired as Gabon’s all-time top scorer, with 30 goals but after just 12 months away from the team he could be set for a quick return.

According to a Daily Mail, Aubameyang is considering a return after a discussion with his nation’s President.

Gabon are currently top of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group which also includes leaders Sudan, Mauritania and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Panthers are currently top of the table with seven points, just one above second-placed Sudan.

While Gabon seems to have done well without their former captain, his return to the team will surely be a big boost for the country and his teammates as they look to safely make it through to the 2024 AFCON slated for Ivory Coast.
