“I am here in my country, I am helping the young people who want to play football so God bless you and see you soon. My family is okay. I am here with my wife and I thank God for that.”
While he previously admitted that the bitter separation left him depressed, Eboue denied most of what was reported after some reports claimed he had resorted to living with friends and family abroad when he lost his wealth.
“When I hear people say Emmanuel Eboue lost everything, I laugh. I have properties in Ghana, I have properties in my home country,” Eboue told Ghana’s Empire FM in 2021.
“I live very comfortably and I thank God. So, when people keep talking and say Emmanuel Eboue doesn’t have anything, he can’t eat, doesn’t have a place to stay, it’s not true.”

“For every country, it is going to be tough so you have to be ready. Here in my country Ivory Coast we still have big players so the draw is very difficult but I believe in my country and my team and hope that the cup will stay here in my country,” he added.
