Record league champions SC Villa continue to shape up the administrative wing of the club ahead of the new season.

With William Nkemba replacing Isaac Mwesigwa as the club CEO, the Joogos have also confirmed the appointments of former players Ali Kayongo and Geoffrey Bukohore.

The two will serve as the team manager and team coordinator, respectively, through a club communique shared on Friday.

Kayongo and Bukohore prominently featured for the Blues, with the latter winning the 1994 league title with the club while the former was part of the 1998 double-winning squad.

"I am glad and humbled to be back to the club, though in a different capacity; it's a task that I am ready to take on wholeheartedly and willing to do my best to help the club fill the trophy cabin," Kayongo told the club website.

Geoffrey Bukohore also welcomed the appointment: "I am happy to serve the club as a team coordinator.""I return with a lot of enthusiasm and experience, which I will share with everyone else to reach our short and long-term goals," he noted.

SC Villa almost stole the headlines on the final day of last season as they pushed Vipers and KCCA FC all the way to win the title but fell short, losing to URA FC 1-0 while Vipers, who needed a win to lift the title defeated Busoga United 5-0.

Serbian head coach Dusan Stojanovic and his assistant Morley Byekwaso will be expected to guide the Joogos to their first league title since 2004.
