Lakeside Queens wins She football
Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship side, Lakeside Queens defeated her close rival Royaltoms Queens 1-0 to win the maiden edition of the She Football Cup.
The one-day competition featured eight female football teams.

The Ikenne-based side defeated PS Academy 1-0 in her first game to book a place in the semifinal.
The team played a 1-1 draw against Phoenix Queens before sealing a final ticket in the penalty shootout.
In the final, the second tier of Nigeria womens league side defeated Royaltoms Queens 1-0 to lift the trophy.
In the third-place match, DreamStar FC Ladies defeated Phoenix Queens in the penalty shootout after a goalless draw.

Oparanozie who started her football career Nigeria said, "Growing up we didn't have a lot of support from parents' family and relatives, and this is one way to encourage the younger ones."
