Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), through their annual FUFA Drum competition, have entered an economic partnership with beverage company Hariss International under their brand Rockboom.

The energy drink brand has signed a UGX120 million one-year deal with the Drum, with an option for renewal.

In the presence of FUFA President Moses Magogo, the positive development was confirmed at the Company premises in Kawempe, Kampala, on Tuesday.

"Our vision is to become the number one footballing nation in Africa on and off the pitch, and we can only achieve this by promoting, developing and protecting the game," said Magogo to the press.

"FUFA Drum is one of the avenues we use to promote football," he added in delirium and exhilaration.

The tournament that happens every year was initiated in 2018, and it's played across the entire country.

"We are glad to have Rockboom on board as partners of the FUFA Drum. We believe this is a tournament that touches everyone regardless of tribe, race, gender or background," he noted.

Meanwhile, Rockboom Sales and Marketing Operations Manager Mahmood Seblini is entirely optimistic the partnership will yield several positive returns.

"Our slogan is 'Feel the Positive Energy,' so we believe this partnership will help us in pushing the FUFA Drum, a tournament that's full of excitement."

The tournament attracts 16 provinces, including Rwenzori, Tooro, Kigezi, Acholi, Buganda, Bukedi, Busoga, West Nile, Ankole, Karamoja, Bugisu, Sebei, Lango, Kitara, Teso and Kampala.

West Nile were the 2022 champions, having defeated Lango region courtesy of a 3-2 aggregate victory.
