Muhumuza, who took over after the unfortunate demise of former head coach Sam Timbe, says URA FC are the underdogs ahead of Sunday’s final against BUL FC.

URA FC interim coach Fred Muhumza is not about to be swept away with his side reaching their first cup final in almost eight years.

Muhumuza, who took over after the unfortunate demise of former head coach Sam Timbe, says URA FC are the underdogs ahead of Sunday’s final against BUL FC.

“Finals are tricky games; we’ve prepared for all eventualities because we expect a tight game,"  Muhumuza noted in the pre-match presser.

"BUL has won the Uganda Cup in the past three years, and we’ve won nothing."

“We don’t take them for granted; we’re the underdogs, but we promise to give our fans a good game on Sunday because we want to win the cup," he added.

The tax collectors have gone up to eight seasons without winning silverware, having last won the Stanbic Uganda Cup in the 2013/14 season and the StarTimes Uganda Premier League in the 2010/11 season.

In new captures, including Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Enock Walusimbi, Denis Otim, Laban Tibita, Ibrahim Wammannah, and Moses Aliro Muhumuza has a lot of options at his disposal.

The final will kick off at 4 pm at the MTN Omondi stadium, with the 3rd/4th playoff between KCCA FC and S.C Villa having set the tone.
